Coping with a $15 minimum wage in Seattle

min wageThe minimum wage debate affects the lower working class, but among this group are women who need income to support their families.  Seattle now has the highest minimum wage at $15 an hour.

Under the law, businesses with fewer than 500 workers are given more time to comply. That would be fine with the franchisees, if they were considered one of those smaller businesses.  Some business owners see more money in workers pockets as a sign of hope because they will spend more.  Not all business owners welcome this change and franchise owners will need to follow the new regulations.  They are going to raise prices in goods perhaps consumers will have to feel the effects of this hike in minimum wage.
