Elianne Ramos to moderate White House’s Open for Questions: State of the Union and Immigration

Tonight, President Obama will deliver his first State of the Union Address of the second term, which you can view here. Of course, we’ll be livetweeting right from the White House, and you can join us on the #LATISM hashtag!

Immediately after the speech, the White House will launch a series of online engagement programs that invite citizens to respond to the speech, ask White House officials their questions, and even hangout with the President, in what they are calling an “Open for Questions” marathon.

NOW HERE’S THE HUGE NEWS: I’m honored to have been invited to moderate one of these, entitled State of the Union and Immigration, a 30-minute livestreamed Q&A session with Cecilia Muñoz, Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council. As you know, there is much at stake for Latinos in the direction things take from here on out, particularly in terms of immigration. We need our voices heard, our questions answered, and this a great opportunity to get YOUR QUESTIONS in front of a top government official – Don’t miss it!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Starting today and for the next couple of days, I will be taking your questions on this key issue area. You can submit questions ahead of time by sending them to ergeekgoddess@gmail.com, via Twitter by tagging @Ergeekgoddess, or during the event via the #LATISM, #WHChat & #SOTU hashtags.

The State of the Union and Immigration “Open for Questions” event will be streamed live on WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU. Check out the full line up of events here.
