According to a British medical journal, The Lancet, obesity is a bigger health crisis. This obesity is worse than hunger and the leading cause of disabilities around the world.
Nearly 500 researchers from 50 countries compared health data from 1990 through 2010 for the Global Burden of Disease report, revealing what they call a massive shift in global health trends.
In the past two decades, there have been an increase of 82 percent from obesity rates. Since 1990, the Middle Eastern countries got 100 percent increase of obesity. This makes Middle Eastern the most obese country.
On average, people are living longer than what was expected in 1990. For men, they live about 10.7 more years and women live about 12.6 more years. It’s good that people are living longer but their health quality are very poor. According to studies, people are troubled by illness or pain during the last 14 years of their life.
