According to Business Insider, this Black Friday sales were down to almost 2%. Founder of ShopperTrak, Bill Martin, said: “Black Friday continues to be an important day in retail. This year, though more retailers than last year began their “doorbusters” deals on Thursday. Foot traffic did increase on Friday, those Thursday deals attracted some of the spending that’s usually meant for Friday.”
When we compare the foot traffic from last year, the traffic rose to 3.5 percent, which is more than 307.67 million more visitors to the stores. Even though, the retail sales decreased, but the estimated of all sales were about $11.2 billion.
