Did you know that in the United States, the infant mortality rate is one of the highest in the industrialized world? And that for the first time since the 1950’s, that rate is on the rise. When I first heard these statistics I was floored.
I was equally impressed to learn about the social good initiatives that Johnson & Johnson and its partners are working on to help mothers and babies around the world live longer, healthier, happier lives. If you recall, last year Johnson & Johnson sponsored LATISM’s first Cyber Sustainable Development Project in Montecristi where prenatal care was nonexistent. This outreach is part of their Global Motherhood initiative, which continues in 2012 with partners like Save the Children, Pro Mujer, and Text4baby. If you joined us in Houston recently, you heard from Johnson & Johnson and its partners about these and other programs.
Join us this Thursday to learn more about Johnson & Johnson’s “Global Motherhood” initiatives which focus on saving and improving the lives of women and children globally. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, share stories and spread the word about social good through social media.
