By launching the public beta for its “Database Virtualization Engine” in June, Waltham startup ParElastic said Monday it’s raised $1 million in new funding. The company’s technology is now under beta testing by “a number of clients in multiple cloud environments.”
The technology allows customers to quickly scale up or down the size of their database based on demand. It works by making multiple database servers work together as a single virtual database
