In our aim to help the Latino community, one of our favorite activities is helping to highlight and amplify the great work being done by different organizations on its behalf. To that end, this week, LATISM is proud to host and promote not one but TWO BLOG CARNIVALS this week! Don’t miss this opportunity to make speak up on these issues that so disproportionately affect our community. Let’s use our voices and influence for the good of Latinos everywhere!
FIRST UP:
NCLR’S HOME FORECLOSURE CRISIS BLOG CARNIVAL
Our dear friends at the National Council Of La Raza are hosting a blog carnival that will take place Thursday, June 28, 2012. This particular carnival will feature blog posts related to the foreclosure crisis as it pertains to communities of color. You can find more details and submissions guidelines for this Blog Carnival here.
NEXT UP:
NATIONAL DAY OF ONLINE ACTION FOR VAWA BLOG CARNIVAL
The immigration committee of the National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence is organizing a blog carnival to raise awareness and show Congress a united front of support to pass a VAWA reauthorization bill that does not roll back protections for victims of violence. The blog carnival will coincide with a national day of action to support VAWA. Submission deadline and guidelines are here.
