If you’ve ever been to one of our LATISM Twitter parties, you know music is an intrinsic part of our chats –we tweetdance our way through the night! So when Univision announced their Premio Lo Nuestro, of course we had to be there! This past Thursday, we grabbed our virtual dancing chanclas as we watched the awards: a world-class display of the best of the best of our music. Turns out, we weren’t alone: millions from around the world tuned in to root for their favorite Latino artists!
Here are some of the unbelievable stats for the night, proof positive of the influence and reach of Latino music all over the world:

- Throughout the night, more than 50 topics related to “Premio lo Nuestro” trended worldwide on Twitter, among them #PremioLoNuestro, Chris Brown and Pitbull, Chino y Nacho, Daddy Yankee & Prince Royce, Don Francisco, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Trevi, Pepe Aguilar, Laura Pausini, Blanca Soto and many others.
- The awards show generated over 263 million impressions on Twitter on Feb. 16. From Feb. 1 to Feb. 16, “Premio Lo Nuestro” has generated over 302 million impressions on Twitter. [Source: Radian6]
