Given the resonance of the topic for our community it is not surprising at all that our LATISM tweeps would be all over it. After all, who doesn’t want to be El Jefe [or La Jefa, for that matter]?
Unlike previous discussions we’ve had about the topic, last night’s chat centered not so much around the overall Latino situation when it comes to business ownership, but mainly around the questions and opinions our tweeps had about being your own boss. Main takeaway of the night? Being a small business owner is fun, challenging, but never easy. Yep, for the record! Regardless of your ethnicity, there is one thing ALL entrepreneurs know very well: business ownership is a 24 hour job that requires passion and hard work. Or as mom would say, sangre, sudor y lágrimas.
Thankfully for us, the very knowledgeable bilingual professionals from Farmers Insurance Group were at hand to answer our questions and share the available resources at Quieroserjefe.com.
About two hours and almost 7.7 million impressions later, our tweeps had a long list of tips, articles and ideas to put into practice as they seek to grow or start-up their own businesses in the new year. Open up our QUIERO SER JEFE LATISM PARTY TRANSCRIPT and read, take notes and bookmark them all!

Let’s make 2012 OUR year, LATISM!
