Feature Friday: Latinos take over the world!

This week, LATISM tweeps were all over the map: making waves, clearing paths, blazing new trails. Here’s our feature Friday salute to those who planted their flag in the cyber-terrain: small and big steps for all LATISM kind!

Our dear friend Brian Cockman (@Bcockman) just launched his new blog Being a Gringo Latino. Brian is the Principal at @RoosterComms and an avid salsa dancer. Don’t know about you, but in my book, that makes him an honorary Latino! Congrats, Brian, keep the good stuff coming!

 

Actor, Producer, Writer and YouTube Sensation of the Pan Con Queso fame and all-around funny guy Michael Diaz (@JuanBago) made the front page of Yahoo.com –congrats, keep putting Washington Heights en alto – REPRESENT! Juan is also featured discussing Latino 101 on why Dominicans talk so loud and the multi uses of a Platano on the latest SiTV.com episode.

 

Our dear friend Ana Lydia Ochoa (@LatinaPRPro) just launched her new blog: Una Cabeza de Coco, where she plans to discuss all the many thoughts, ideas and meanderings that make her, well, anything but. As her tweetname indicates, Ana Lydia is a passionate PR pro, specializing in Hispanic & niche-consumer campaigns and the Founder of @padmamedia. Enhorabuena, chica!

 

New on the scene but full of LATISM passion is Alicia Anabel (@DiosaDominicana). Her new blog, Finding Your Force, details her journey as she looks to inspire women to find their voices. A real life goddess, Alicia is the Founder and CEO of the New York City Latina Writers Group, as well as Writer and Co-Producer of Creador Films first documentary, “Afro Latinos: La Historia Que Nunca Nos Contaron.” A true inspiration, bienvenida a LATISM, Alicia!
